Narrative

Susana DiPalma, Teaching Specialist for University of Minnesota Dance, teaches Flamenco. She is the founding Artistic Director, resident choreographer, dancer and teacher for ZORONGO FLAMENCO DANCE THEATRE. Having lived, worked and studied in Spain, di Palma founded ZORONGO in 1984. Her original theatre Flamenco choreographies have been awarded grants from the McKnight Foundation, Minnesota State Arts Board, National Endowment for the Arts, Bush Foundation, the Jerome Foundation, among others. She recently performed the role of Death in the Guthrie Lab production directed by Marcela Lorca of BLOOD WEDDING. Ms. Di Palma resides in Madrid and Minneapolis.
